Navy Supply Corps School (NSCS) students and staff gathered recently to honor retired Cmdr. Eugene Miller as the Navy Supply Corps Foundation's 37th Distinguished Alumnus.

The award, which was signed by Rear Adm. Mike Lyden, Commander Naval Supply Systems Command and Chief of Supply Corps, recognizes Supply Corps officers who have distinguished themselves in both the Navy and the civilian sector.

Previous winners of the award, which is given twice a year, include A. G. Lafley, Regis Philbin, and Roger Staubach.

After nomination, recipients are voted on by the Board of Directors for the Navy Supply Corps Foundation.

Miller received his award for his distinguished career in the civilian sector, which the 83 year-old continues in today.
